Takafumi Ochiai, Head of the Policy Research Institute, Appointed as Counselor of the Digital Agency
Takafumi Ochiai (*1), Head of the Policy Research Institute, was appointed as Counselor of the Digital Agency of Japan effective September 1, 2026.
Ochiai commented: "As AI social implementation advances, questions of how to combine regulation, standards, and certification, and how to design accountability and enforcement, are challenges that cannot be resolved within any single ministry or agency. I look forward to working through these issues in close discussion with all relevant parties."
