1.Protection of Personal Information
The Policy Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") is committed to fully complying with laws and regulations concerning personal information and other relevant standards. The Institute makes every effort to protect personal information and adheres strictly to this Privacy Policy.
2.Proper Handling of Personal Information
The Institute shall use personal information appropriately within the scope of the following purposes. Except where permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations, or with the individual's consent, the Institute shall not use personal information beyond the stated purposes:
Execution of research activities
Investigation and verification of matters related to conflicts of interest
Notification of research meetings, lectures, seminars, publications, and academic articles
Public disclosure and dissemination of the Institute's activities, including sending greetings and notifications (including via email)
Other purposes incidental to the activities listed above
3.Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Institute shall not provide personal data to third parties without the prior consent of the individual, except where permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws.
4.Protection and Management of Personal Information
The Institute shall strive to ensure the accuracy of obtained personal data, and manage and handle such personal data appropriately to prevent leakage, loss, or damage. In the event of any such incident, the Institute shall take appropriate action in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
5.Requests for Notification of Purpose, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, and Provision of Information
Individuals may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, cessation of third-party provision, notification of purpose, and other legally permitted actions (including disclosure of records related to third-party provision) with respect to personal data held by the Institute.
Requests should be directed to the contact point specified in Section 8. Upon verifying the identity of the individual or their duly authorized representative, the Institute shall conduct the necessary investigation. If the request is deemed justified, appropriate action, such as suspension of use, shall be taken in accordance with laws and regulations.

7.Security Measures
The Institute shall take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal data. The Institute shall also supervise its members regarding the handling of personal data and, where personal data handling is outsourced, supervise the service provider to ensure proper management of personal information.
