Yuji Suyama is a leading advocate for Zebra management - an approach to business that is: (1) long-term oriented, (2) inclusive of all stakeholders, and (3) integrates both social and economic value.
In recent years, Mr. Suyama has expanded his efforts beyond the private sector, with a strong focus on transforming nonprofit, public, and political institutions, promoting cross-sector, interdisciplinary collaboration. He began his career at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, where he was involved in energy policy and industrial policy for the electronics sector. He later worked as a venture capital and new business consultant, supporting various projects, including raising over JPY 10 billion for a space development startup.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Ethics from The University of Tokyo and a Master’s degree from Keio University Graduate School of System Design and Management.
