Yosuke Miyata joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2007. Mr. Miyata’s accomplishments include the development of policies on regional development, work style reform, promotion of data utilization, and revision of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
He then joined Yahoo Japan Corporation. While working on policy advocacy as manager of the Policy Planning Division, Mr. Miyata was also involved in the establishment of Information Technology Federation of Japan and the Political Union for the Promotion of IT Society, involving the IT industry at large, and leading industry-wide policy advocacy activities.
In 2018, he founded K.K. poliflect to support corporate policy advocacy activities. He has been involved in numerous regulatory reforms and rulemakings, particularly in the digital sector.
Director of the Software Association of Japan, Director of the Japan Public Affairs Association, and Vice President of the Political Union for the Promotion of Digital Society.
