Takayuki Matsuo graduated from the Faculty of Law, The University of Tokyo in 2006 and was admitted to the Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association in 2007. He joined Momo-o, Matsuo & Namba Law Offices the same year.
He earned a Master of Law from Harvard Law School in 2013 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2014. He also graduated from Peking University Law School in 2015 and received his Doctor of Laws (Ph.D.) from the same university in 2020.
In 2019, he became a partner at Momo-o, Matsuo & Namba. His numerous academic and professional leadership positions include:

• Project Associate Professor, Keio University (2023)
• Special Visiting Professor, Gakushuin University (2024)
