Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1982, Mr. Narihara studied information law at the University of Tokyo III/GSII (Graduate School of Interfaculty Information Studies). He subsequently served as Assistant Professor and Visiting Researcher at the University of Tokyo III/GSII and as Senior Researcher at the Institute for Information and Communications Policy (IICP), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
He has been serving as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Kyushu University since March 2018.
Mr. Narihara’s research focuses on information law, with particular emphasis on freedom of expression on the internet, privacy, personal data protection, and legal issues related to artificial intelligence (AI).
