Hirokazu Yoshii graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, The University of Tokyo in 2004. In 2011, he earned a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He began his career at McKinsey & Company Japan in 2004, later transferred to the firm’s Germany office, and served as an intern at the UK Conservative Party headquarters. He was promoted to Associate Partner at McKinsey, subsequently served as Special Advisor to the President of the Health Insurance Claims Review & Reimbursement services, and later as Assistant Director at the Employees’ Health Insurance Division, Health Insurance Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
